Volunteering FAQs

Why volunteer?
You can be a part of the LGBTQ Center’s important service of support, education, and advocacy regarding LGBTQ issues by volunteering with us. At the Center, you will have the opportunity to develop your own talents and work with others who are committed to making positive change here at Wake. Volunteers at the LGBTQ Center make the Center what it is today, and shape what it will be tomorrow. Volunteers have an unparalleled opportunity for education and training in LGBTQ issues, as well as the opportunity to become a leader in the community, develop valuable interpersonal skills, and to fulfill volunteer and/or service hours.

Who can volunteer?
All members of the Wake Forest community are welcome to volunteer.

What do volunteers do?
We need volunteers for tasks great and small, from hanging posters or staffing a table to becoming a Safe Zone facilitator or joining our Student Speakers Bureau.

How often would I have to volunteer?
You can volunteer for as much time as you are willing and able. We do not have a minimum requirement.

How do I become a volunteer?
