Call for Safe Zone Program Facilitators

The LGBTQ Center is looking for open-minded faculty and staff who support cultural diversity at Wake Forest to become trained facilitators for the Safe Zone training program.

Facilitators will:

  • Educate other members of the WFU community about the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning) community and what it means to be an ally
  • Provide members of our community with the tools to communicate and challenge effectively regarding the LGBTQ community
  • Help create Safe Zones across campus for all students, faculty, and staff
  • Facilitate learning and dialogue

Requirements for Facilitators:

  • Attend a Facilitators training and at least one Safe Zone presentation before facilitating
  • Commit to facilitating two trainings over the course of each academic year
  • Participate in one Facilitators meeting per semester
