Wake Forest University welcomes students of all gender identities and expressions in our community. Gender identity and expression are protected by the non-discrimination policy of the institution, and the University’s maintains a commitment to supporting transgender students.

All-gender restrooms can be found across campus, and locating an inclusive restroom is easy using the restroom directory. Gender neutral housing is available through Residence Life and Housing. The LGBTQ+ Center offers programs and events that provide community and support for trans students, as well as opportunities for cisgender faculty, staff, and students to learn how to best support trans students, friends, and colleagues, and build a Wake Forest community that is inclusive of students of all genders.

If you have questions or concerns about being a trans student at WFU, would like assistance in changing your name on records, or need any type of support, please reach out to us at lgbtq@wfu.edu.
