D.E.A.C. Allies
D.E.A.C. Allies is the central platform for education and skill building offered by the LGBTQ+ Center. The D.E.A.C. Allies approach centers LGBTQ+ voices across intersections of identity and focuses on the facilitation of narrative sharing, the generation and acquisition of knowledge, and the development of practical skills for participants.
While content in sequentially later workshops may build on previous workshops, participants are not required to take all of the workshops or to take them in order. We welcome participants to jump into the spaces where they see the most opportunity for learning and growth based on their current knowledge, skills, and experiences.
All of these offerings will be conducted synchronously via Zoom. The primary audience for the D.E.A.C. Allies program as it is currently offered is staff and faculty, but we welcome undergraduate and graduate students. If you are interested in registering for D.E.A.C. Allies but do not have access to Workday Learning, please email lgbtq@wfu.edu with the date(s) you would like to attend.
