The LGBTQ+ Center, in partnership with the WFU LGBTQ Scholarship Committee, is excited to announce the application period for the LGBTQ Scholarship at Wake Forest University. This scholarship has been generously funded by alumni and friends of the LGBTQ+ Center.

The WFU LGBTQ Scholarship is available to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors during their undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University. The scholarship seeks to recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional service to improving the campus climate and the wellbeing of students within the LGBTQ community on campus. Preference is given, as allowed, to students who self-identify as LGBTQ or another identity under the LGBTQ+ umbrella, and to students who are recognized as allies of the LGBTQ community at Wake Forest. Scholarship recipients do not need to have a formal role or relationship with the LGBTQ+ Center in order to be selected.

The WFU LGBTQ Scholarship will award up to $5000 to be disbursed over one or two award recipients for the 2020-2021 academic year (if one recipient is selected by the committee, they will receive $5000; if two recipients are selected, they will receive $2500 each). The recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be selected by the WFU LGBTQ Scholarship committee.
